Hi this is Dr. Travis from Ambiente Gallerie
and today i’d like to talk to
you about fiber typically with our
American diet we are not eating enough
fiber as a society so adding to that is
only going to be beneficial for our
optimal health and wellness now based on
the research it can show that optimal
health and wellness goals would need
about 70 grams of fiber per day to
support proper function of the digestive
system okay now depending on the type of
foods that you’re eating the type of
fiber can help to feed some of the
healthy gut bacteria
helps to move things through the
digestive system in a way that you know
encourages proper lumination and
supports digestive enzyme production and
all of the different things that we
associate with feeling good happy and
healthy okay
weights to get that would be adding you
know eating fiber rich foods right so
all fruits and vegetables very high in
fiber we want to add more of those to
the diet we can also supplement with it
one of my favorite supplemental forms of
fiber flax seeds flax seeds ground up
would be what the requirement is without
the grinding up they just kind of don’t
do the things they’re supposed to so
grind up those flax seeds chia seeds are
great adding some psyllium husk now with
fiber if you take it in supplement form
you want to do that on its own any fiber
added taken with food will absorb
nutrients that are happening so you
don’t want to take fiber with your
supplements you want to kind of do that
on your own thank you
